About Me

Welcome to Parenting In Bloom. I'm thrilled to share my passion to educate and support parents. With 20 years of experience working with families as a teacher in elementary and early childhood classrooms, my mission is to help parents understand their child's behaviors gaining personal confidence and strengthening connections with their children.

With a Master's Degree in Education, and certification in brain-based research from birth to 3 years old I have supported hundreds of children and their families from infancy to adolescence. I bring the unique ability to feel compassion for both parents and children while having a clear understanding of how to implement tools to help families connect, grow, and thrive with one another.

As a mother of a preteen and teen, I know there is nothing greater than feeling connection and love with your children. Then there are those moments when we feel like nothing is going right when we want to pull your hair out and run. Parenting is one the hardest jobs out there, but knowing there are things we can do to help us in those moments of helplessness has changed my life and many others I know. My experience has taught me that parenting is a true journey one with highs and lows, twists and turns, and one that is in constant bloom.

Services

Individual Parent Consulting

As a parent educator, I work one on with parents providing tools and resources to support times of transition, new experiences, challenges and support that will help  when challenges arise with  children.

Group Classes

I facilitate monthly discussions for parents providing research-based information, support, and guidance on all aspects of the parenting journey. This important time, without children, allows us to learn, listen, and grow from one another while feeling supported by others in similar situations. Parents walk away from these groups feeling more self-aware, supported and

confident with their parenting.

Listening Line

We all lead busy lives sometimes making it difficult to commit to ongoing consulting or meetings. Through a phone or zoom call, you can feel listened to, supported, and have your questions answered, leaving the conversation feeling more empowered  to resolve situations with your children than before.

Workshops/Talks

Workshops are designed for parents, administrators,  teachers, and childcare providers. Topics can include but are not limited to: sibling rivalry, tantrums, limit setting, power of communication, building connections, resilience, aggression, outdoor classrooms, mindfulness and meditation in classrooms and home, and classroom management
